We are seeking a Senior Manager of Software Development for a new cloud service designed for the world's largest and most ambitious games.

    We are looking for an experienced leader to build and grow teams that will deliver and operate large-scale cloud services. This person will be an ambitious self-starter with proven team leadership skills, strong analytical chops, and persuasive writing capabilities, and have the tenacity to develop ideas independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.     Key responsibilities include:

    • Manage and grow high-performance development teams
    • Sustain a high development pace while scaling services rapidly
    • Maintain meaningful operational SLAs that define the customer experience
    • Drive the architecture and technology choices for existing and new services
    • Iteratively design features loved by developers and used by games with millions of players

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent) experience
    • 7+ years of experience managing engineers and/or engineering managers
    • 3+ years of experience engineering distributed systems
    • Experience building large-scale web services backed by cloud services, such as AWS

    Preferred Qualifications

    • MS or PhD in Computer Science
    • Demonstrated success building high-performing engineering teams
    • Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver complex, high quality, software products with minimal guidance
    • Experience delivering one or more V1 products, ideally in a startup or similar setting
    • Proficiency with object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms
