    Our Team: EC2 Fleet is a system that simplifies the provisioning of EC2 capacity across different EC2 instance types, Availability Zones and across On-Demand and/or EC2 Spot purchase models. With a single API call, you can provision capacity across EC2 taking into account capacity, scale, performance and cost. Customers around the world – from startups, to research institutes, to established enterprises – use EC2 to rapidly scale their infrastructure. Our team is growing rapidly to significantly expand our feature set and increase our scale.

    You: We’re seeking software developers with industry experience who are passionate about building large scale software, enhancing customer satisfaction, growing market segment share, and operational excellence. If highly parallel systems, distributed functionality and difficult synchronization problems sound appealing, we have the right challenges for you.

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field of studies
    • Minimum of 3 years of industry software development experience using object oriented design patterns in JAVA, C# or C++

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Excellent understanding of resource and design requirements for highly scalable systems
    • Experience with scripting languages, preferably Ruby or Python
    • Experience with the Linux operating system environment
    • Strong analytical skills with excellent problem solving abilities
    • Knowledge of system performance and operational readiness monitoring
    • Strong desire to build, deliver results, take ownership, and drive projects
    • Excellent written communication skills and verbal agility
