About the position We are seeking a Senior User Experience Designer to define, design and deliver the Amazon Pay experience on our web and mobile platforms. You will be partnering extensively with our product, marketing and account management teams to effectively blend classic user experience best practices with contemporary marketing opportunities, helping our customers to discover, evaluate and ultimately purchase products in the most elegant and efficient way possible. To accomplish this, you will be responsible for developing and socializing experiences that drive engagement and excitement throughout the organization.
Minimum 7-10 years industry experience providing interaction design solutions for retail and commerce applications.
A portfolio of recent work demonstrating expertise with user-centered design solutions (flows, prototypes, wireframes) and solid visual designs (mockups and style guides).
Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience as an interactive/user experience designer.
Customer-obsessed, detail-oriented and comfortable working on highly technical teams.
Experience working collaboratively on cross-functional teams including directly with developers for implementation of designs.
Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills including the ability to communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.
Experience driving user research/usability tests and interpreting usability test data.
Comprehensive understanding of the current state of web and mobile best practices.
Ability to define patterns and advocate for consistency, without repressing inspiration or inhibiting innovation.
Experience defining and maintaining design patterns and UX standards.
Proficiency in a variety of standard design tools such as Illustrator, InVision, Sketch, Axure, and Omnigraffle or equivalent.
Familiarity with the technical considerations involved in designing for complex systems.
Experience with agile/scrum.
Experience and/or familiarity with financial and accounting systems and concepts.
