We are looking for a dynamic, driven and creative individual to join our team as a Senior User Experience Designer in our Seattle, WA location.
A successful candidate will be able to explore and translate complex interactions into simple, engaging user-centered solutions, and be able to communicate those solutions verbally as well as through sketches, user flows, wireframes, hi-fi mocks and functional prototypes. Candidates must respond well to feedback from stakeholders and product leads, be flexible, and able to succeed in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
In this role you will have a significant impact on our growing business. You will work collaboratively with engineers, product managers, executives, and other designers—seeing and championing design throughout the planning and development lifecycle for the interfaces.
Fluency in best practices for information architecture and interaction design, user-centered design processes, and a strong knowledge of UX principles and techniques.
Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, high fidelity mockups, and detailed UI and visual design specifications (redlines) for web interfaces.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to help define best-in-class user experiences.
Understand target users deeply: develop or work from user profiles & conduct task analysis, create user scenarios or user stories, help to create and analyze user research.
Request and drive user research/usability tests as needed. Must be able to conduct research on your own or be able to lead a contractor to provide these services.
Actively participate in usability testing and interpret analytics data.
Present design work to the product team, engineering team, business stakeholders and executives for review and feedback.
Contribute to user interface design and development best practices and standards at Amazon.
Partner with highly technical development teams for product launches.
Handle multiple projects in an agile, fast-paced environment.
