Are you an experienced technical leader passionate about building scalable, enterprise-level systems? The Tech360 team is looking for a Software Development Manager to play a key role in building a new product to support the sales organization with seamless user experience and by leveraging machine learning capabilities. In addition to requiring a high level of technical expertise, this role is about understanding the needs of the business, the data behind it, and how to transform this information into technical solutions that allow the business to make swift, informed decisions. Ideal candidates will have expertise with all phases of the application development life cycle in building models that scale over time while balancing accuracy, flexibility, and speed.
In this role you will be responsible for leading a team of software engineers and driving the development schedule from design to release, anticipating problems, making appropriate tradeoffs to manage risk, and clearly communicating goals, roles, and responsibilities. You must be willing to insist on the highest standards for quality, maintainability, and performance. You will ensure that engineering best practices are followed and that software is designed to be highly available, dynamically scalable, and resilient to continuity threats. You will own the goals and development roadmap of your team. The right candidate will have a strong program management and system delivery background, a well-rounded technical background in current web and object-oriented technologies, and demonstrated experience leading medium-to-large projects. You must be able to thrive in an ever changing entrepreneurial environment and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means you are not only able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in, and get the job done. Strategic thinking, maturity, negotiation skills, and the ability to influence are essential to success in this role.
