    We're looking for an outstanding security engineer who combines superb technical, research and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to get complex hardware, software and other mission-critical systems up and running quickly and effectively. This person must be comfortable working with a team of top-notch software, hardware and applied science engineers.



    Export Controls
    This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon’s ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.

    Basic Qualifications

    • MS in Computer Science or equivalent desired
    • Experience writing and testing C/C++ applications
    • Experience in implementing security solutions at the business unit level
    • At least 4 years of system, network and/or application security experience
    • At least 2 years of experience with development team(s) that delivered commercial software or software-based services
    • Experienced in building secure, scalable and maintainable solutions on the AWS platform
    • Strong experience and detailed technical knowledge in security engineering, system and network security, authentication and security protocols, cryptography and application security

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with aerospace security frameworks and certifications
    • Experience with service-oriented architecture and web services security
    • Experience with hardware / firmware security best practices
    • Experience with the application of threat modeling or other risk identification techniques
    • Detailed knowledge of system security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent leadership skills and teamwork skills
    • Results oriented, high energy, self-motivated
