We are seeking a driven, entrepreneurial product leader to join us in our Boston, MA office to grow our file storage business on the AWS cloud. As file storage represents the majority of unstructured data in the world, the opportunity for impact in this role is immense.
AWS’s file storage business includes Amazon Elastic File System (EFS), which was launched in 2016. Amazon EFS is a fully managed service that makes it easy to set up and scale shared file storage in the AWS Cloud. It’s designed for a wide variety of use cases: data analytics, video rendering, genomics analysis, web serving, content management, and home directories, to name a few.
We are seeking a Senior Product Manager with experience in platform level products or services to define our product strategy and develop the business with a full scope of ownership spanning inbound to outbound product management. You will own product planning in feature definition as well as pricing, pricing model innovation, and P&L optimization. You will own marketing in positioning, promotion, and sales enablement. You will work directly with executive leaders of customers and partners of all sizes and segments iterating on our product vision and driving business development.
We need business owners who can scale in perspective from strategic vision development with direct interaction with the AWS senior leadership team to tactical product development and sales execution.
There are no product requirements documents thrown over the wall to the development team in this business. We value product managers who want to team with the developers and dig into the details as owners of the service where we define, develop, and ship new services and features in periods measured in months.
In this ownership role you will:
- Drive customer focused service definition
- Implement launch and growth strategy, coordinating with cross-functional teams to successfully deliver
- Define and implement pricing models and establish measures to track and analyze performance against target
- Define and implement key business success metrics and implement measures to track and analyze against target
- Build strong internal relationships with technology and development teams to drive implementation
- Build strong internal relationships with the sales and central marketing organizations to drive implementation of merchandising strategies
Post launch, conduct business and financial analysis, including forecasting, monitoring, and reporting

He/she must have a deep understanding of customer needs, the competitive landscape and be able translate customer needs into features, pricing models, and merchandising opportunities to deliver an unparalleled customer experience.
