    Amazon Global Selling (AGS) team is part of the Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA). It is focused on breaking down barriers to allow 3rd party sellers to sell their items to customers around the world. The AGS team develops software that removes friction from the process of cross border selling for 3rd party sellers.

    The AGS team is responsible for the development of systems that enable sellers to expand their business to new countries and provide the tools to manage their global business. This platform is pivotal to supporting 3rd party business expansion by creating new opportunities for sellers to introduce their products to customers around the world.

    The Amazon Global Selling team is looking for experienced SDEs for their development team in motor city Detroit, who have demonstrated ability to build innovative software solutions working for global set of customers.

    Are you interested in joining the team to make the world a little bit smaller for our customers and sellers and help grow the business by building highly-available, scalable, distributed systems that provide clean interfaces between sellers, customers and Amazon's software?

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
    • 5+ years of software development experience with Java, C/C++
    • Experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and/or Design (OOD)
    • Computer Science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, problem solving and complexity analysis.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Master's Degree in Computer Science/Math or related field
    • Experience in building complex, highly scalable software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
    • Experience in professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle (SDLC), including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
    • Self-directed and capable of working effectively in a highly innovative and fast-paced environment
    • Experience with Agile software development in a UNIX/Linux environment
