    Amazon Web Services (AWS) QuickSight is looking to hire talented software development engineer to build world class experiences and services for our customers. AWS QuickSight is a fast, easy-to-use cloud-based, serverless Business Intelligence (BI) service designed for easy deployment to tens of thousands of users. As a fully-managed SaaS application, there’s no need to buy, manage and scale servers and no software to deploy and upgrade. QuickSight is deeply integrated with AWS data sources, allowing companies to deploy secure and scalable BI with their data on AWS.

    In this role, you will build user experiences for AWS QuickSight. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical and leadership experience to work with team of engineers to drive design and architecture decisions that impact long term vision.     Software engineers at Amazon partner with the customers, stakeholders, product managers and UX designers to define and execute the product goals.     Basic Qualifications

    • BS degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or related field
    • 5+ years of professional experience in front end web or mobile development using JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Scripting Languages (Python, Perl, etc)
    • Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, OO design patterns, web application design and SOA
    • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries such as React, Redux, Ember or Angular
    • Experience with responsive web design and the ability to deliver outstanding functionality across devices and platforms.
    • Eye for design aesthetics and attention to detail.
    • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, startup-like environment

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience working alongside UX designers, product managers, and other engineers throughout the complete product development lifecycle
    • Experience with UI implementation with a portfolio of work that demonstrates intuitive, efficient and highly usable interfaces
    • Experience with development on the AWS platform
    • Experience building charts to visualize data and working with D3 or other charting libraries
