    Amazon is looking for a Technical Program Manager to join an exciting new project team working to build a completely new best in class consumer product.     We are inventing the future for consumer electronics products and are looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to drive our vision to reality.

    In this role, you will be leading programs and projects to deliver software using Java, Android, iOS that will enable product teams to deliver new, consumer-facing products on Amazon mobile and server space, which will be deployed worldwide. You will be working very closely with software engineering teams to build platform and framework capabilities that will be utilized to deliver products and features.

    You will collaborate with product teams to deliver the best product with most efficient use of resources and technologies. You will lead and influence stakeholders to assemble project teams, assign responsibilities, identify appropriate resources needed and develop schedules to ensure timely completion of projects by meeting project milestones. You will also assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, make tradeoffs, balance the business needs versus technical constraints and encourage risk-taking behavior to maximize business benefit.

    Successful candidates are senior leaders with a technical background who are detail driven and have excellent problem solving abilities. You should not only be passionate about delivering extensible, on-time solutions, but should also be obsessed with contributing to the development of high-performance teams through rigorous goal-setting, disciplined attention to performance metrics, continuous process improvement, and mentorship.

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong business and technical vision
    • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
    • A deep understanding of software development in a team, and a track record of shipping software on time
    • Exceptional customer relationship skills including the ability to discover the true requirements underlying feature requests, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutions
    • 5+ years of experience as a software developer or related technical role
    • 5+ years’ experience in project management and/or program management

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Software development experience in OOP, Java, C++, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Linux/UNIX
    • Experience working with AWS
    • Experience working with mobile and IoT hardware
    • Experience working with iOS and Android
    • Proven customer obsession track record
    • Highly driven, self-managed individual who demonstrates initiative and proactively seeks solutions to problems
    • Good team, organizational and planning skills, as well as stringent time management skills to balance dynamic workloads in a complex and dynamic environment
    • Highly developed problem analysis and critical thinking experience
    • Effectively design and operate technology management processes
    • Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
    • Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
