FLASH is looking for an experienced Engineering Leader to continue growing and scaling our world class cash reconciliation platform that processes and reconciles statements worth over 250 billion dollars USD every year. Targeted towards cash accounting users, the system aims to simplify and expedite the cash reconciliation process at Amazon. The system needs to perform a holistic automated reconciliation of all banking activity (receipts, disbursements, intercompany wires, bank fees, etc.) at scale, by systematically performing all the manual tasks that are performed by accountants and analysts on a daily basis.
As an Engineering Leader in FLASH, you will be working with our customers, partner tech teams and product management to define vision for this next generation product and deliver feature sets in an iterative fashion through teams of software development engineers. You will have the technical ownership of some of the critical financial systems at Amazon. You will have the opportunity to build and operate systems which analyze large volumes of streaming data with response times that aren't possible with traditional approaches. You will manage teams which build and operate ultra-scalabe high volume systems which at their lowest throughput process millions of transactions per day. Key Responsibilities of the role:
- Develop long term strategy for your programs and translate it into roadmap and action plan
- Management and mentorship of key engineering personnel
- Management and execution against project plans and delivery commitments
- Work closely with the engineers to architect and develop the best technical design and approach
- Report on status of development, quality, operations, and system performance to management
