Who You Are We are looking for a talented, customer-focused designer who excels in visual design and has an awareness of fundamental UX/digital design principles. This role contributes to the success of a senior design team through a range of supportive projects and production tasks. The ideal candidate would be a highly motivated, self-directed person who can thrive in a deadline-driven atmosphere. The abilities to manage multiple projects, work efficiently with an acute attention to detail, and communicate effectively with key stakeholders are essential.
An online portfolio of work is required. The ideal candidate has a varied portfolio spanning personal projects and professional-level work that reflects a strong individual sense of aesthetics and an ability to create engaging experiences for our customers.
Responsibilities · Design on-brand visual marketing and promotional assets · Support senior designers by making production assets pixel perfect, optimized, and development ready · Refine and extend screen comps based on an established visual toolkit · Partner with development teams to provide redlines and design assets · Present design work to senior designers and partners for review and feedback · Optimize digital images for responsive design · Fulfill multiple project requests while meeting and prioritizing tight deadlines · Support internal Amazon teams throughout the development of campaigns to ensure the highest degree of detail and polish
At least 3 years of visual design experience (Including internship)
A portfolio demonstrating strong visual design skills and an awareness of fundamental UX principles
Project management experience including the ability to articulate how design meets requirements in a creative brief
Proficiency in a variety of design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Sketch
Experience creating production assets for a variety of screen resolutions
Experience working with a design style guide or branding guidelines
Self-motivated and capable of working independently
Strong communication skills
Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field
Ability to drive the design review cycle and close on design requirements independently
Interest in latest design and technology trends
Demonstrated knowledge of the latest interaction design patterns and trends
Visual design expertise demonstrated through mockups and style guides
