  • Job Description

    The AWS Content Management System (CMS) team runs the systems enabling our marketers to author content for our sites https://aws.amazon.com, https://aws.amazon.com/blogs, delivering content to millions of users a day. We are building a next generation Content-as-a-Service content management and delivery platform to enable our marketers to run Omni-channel campaigns and provide a large-scale content hub for our customers, with personalized & interactive user experiences on the web.

    Our architecture is based on microservices and uses the latest technology from the AWS Cloud: DynamoDB, Lambda, Serverless, SNS, SQS, CloudFront, and many others. We are customer obsessed, maintain a strong bias for action with focus on correctness, availability and performance. We deploy updates to our stack daily, with robust unit tests and integration tests to catch regressions, and use state-of-the-art monitoring tools to measure our progress.
    We are looking for talented junior and senior engineers who have experience at the juncture of big data, marketing cloud, content management, delivery technologies and want to help us build novel technology with AWS services.     Basic Qualifications

    • o 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
      o Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design.
      1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Masters in Software Engineering
    • Experience with DynamoDB, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudSearch, CloudFront, SNS and SQS
    • Experience with OSGi, JCR frameworks and PHP
    • Fluency in Java, JavaScript, and Ruby
    • Comfortable with Linux command line including git
    • Built distributed architectures or internet scale content delivery
    • Polyglot programming language
    • Track record of ownership, focus on the end customer and delivering the right results
    • Active on GitHub or StackOverflow
