    Who You Are
    The ideal candidate would be a highly motivated, self-directed, enthusiastic person who works well under pressure and can thrive in a deadline driven atmosphere. They must have a strong individual sense of aesthetics and be able to bring elevated ideas to the table. In addition, they should have the ability to deliver clean, on-brand designs based on existing style guides and brand guidelines in a fast-paced environment. This position requires intrinsic design abilities, typographic skills, digital expertise, and acute attention to detail. Not only do you have the technical skills you are able to stay connected to the details and are able to deliver result on a day-to-day basis. The ability to manage multiple projects and communicate with key stakeholders is essential.

    Responsibilities
    • Create on-brand solutions that meet measurable business goals and requirements
    • Create world-class customer experiences and beautiful visuals that support and reinforce Amazon’s vision, brand and objective across all platforms
    • Help maintain a set of best practices and guidelines to reduce and minimize production efforts while maintaining and challenging the beauty bar
    • Inspire the design team by producing effective and efficient design methods
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams and collaborate with marketers, and other designers to define and produce design solutions
    • Support your design work using all available insights including quantitative data and site metrics, customer feedback, and usability findings
    • Advocate for and follow user-centered design
    • Develop conceptual detailed visual mockups to communicate high-level design strategies
    • Develop and maintain effective specifications and design patterns
    • Responsibly and effectively advocate for the customer in a corporate environment; fostering a shared understanding of the customer-centric intersection between design, content, business and marketing values
    • Present to business and design leadership
    • Scope design initiatives and manage/prioritize work items

    Basic Qualifications

    • Qualified candidates should have no less than 4+ years of professional experience.
    • Candidate should possess industry relevancy in alignment with the role they are applying for
    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and similar design tools
    • Experience defining and evolving brand guidelines
    • Experience in brand advertising for social ad campaigns
    • Experience maintaining high quality creative, strong attention to detail, operating in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
    • Process oriented online portfolio clearly displaying:
      • Role on project
      • Challenge, Solution, & Results clearly stated in work sample
    • Must have experience working in a deadline driven environment and must be able to manage workload to meet customer deadlines
      • Must be able to set appropriate deadlines with collaboration of designers on their team, as well as business partners.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Team player with refined and assertive leadership skills and ability to positively influence change through inspiration design, solid rationale, supporting data and diplomacy
    • Preference is for candidate to have worked in a Lead Design, Jr. Art Director or Sr. Design capacity
    • Knowledge of information architecture, usability, UI and UX design
    • Previous work in advertising or marketing, focused on multi-channel design
    • Experience working with international teams
