EC2 Host Lifecycle Management is looking for a data-driven, detail-oriented leader who can influence teams to deliver results and create impact for EC2 customers. This is a challenging and highly visible position responsible for developing business programs that incorporate various stakeholders, collaborating with engineering leadership to develop internal service products to improve customer experience and drive efficiency in the world’s largest distributed computing environment.

    Technical Program Managers in EC2 are force the multipliers who represent service teams to senior leadership and enable their teams to deliver business value through engineering excellence. As a TPM in EC2, you will be responsible for identifying the stakeholders, working with leadership to develop a vision, roadmaps and execution strategies for business programs that are supported by service teams. TPMs handle complex inter-team dependencies and bridge the gaps in technical management. You will need to work with professionals in many different domains including finance, engineering, engineering management, dev support. Successful candidates will have a strong technical background, be detail-oriented, have excellent problem solving and communication abilities, and poses a deep understanding of product design and implementation details. Candidate’s technical expertise and operational excellence will raise the bar and influence the team’s decisions and drive secure and robust solutions which have great customer experience.

    Basic Qualifications

    • 6+ years of Product Management or Technical Program Management experience in a related industry
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and ability to present in large groups and handle high-pressure communication with senior management
    • Experience with managing large cross-functional projects
    • Significant technical depth and understanding of distributed systems and engineering best practices
    • Thorough understanding of software development lifecycle from conception to delivery
    • A proven track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Background in software architecture and technical management
    • MBA or experience working with financial models and operations and logistics
