Amazon’s Treasury Tech team is looking for a full stack developer who will take the lead on projects across Treasury data lake, real time calculation, reporting and forecasting platforms. These platforms enable our users from “Amazon Treasury” to efficiently - 1) assess Amazon’s exposure to financial risks while dealing with market counterparties, and 2) forecast cash that helps treasurers optimize cash buffers and proactively manage potential cash shortfalls.
The ideal candidate for this role will work on designing and developing custom web-based applications, and integrating them with data sources, downstream reporting apps and forecasting ML models, leveraging AWS services wherever possible. The candidate will be adept at implementing web services and server-oriented architecture (SOA) solutions.
More about the team - The Treasury tech team falls under Amazon’s Finance Technology (FinTech) organization which operates software platforms that are among the largest in the world by volume and complexity. We interact upstream with all of Amazon’s businesses globally and the majority of our projects are cross-functional. Much of our work enables Amazon’s new market or business model launches and happens as part of these enterprise programs. We partner integrally with the CFO organization worldwide, including the central finance functions and line of business leadership.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
Well versed in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and/or Design (OOD)
Experience building complex, highly scalable software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
Expertise in professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle (SDLC), including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
Solid competencies in computer science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, problem solving and complexity analysis.
Experience with large scale distributed systems and service-oriented architecture.
Experience with big data platforms.
Experience with Amazon Web Services
Experience with Agile software development methodologies
