    Amazon Publishing is the full-service publishing arm of Amazon. Our mission is to invent new and better ways to connect authors and readers.

    The Amazon Publishing team is looking for a results-oriented Print Production Associate to support the manufacturing and distribution processes of Amazon Publishing print books in our European marketplaces. This role will assist our international teams with operational tasks connected to the creation of physical books in a fast growing and rapidly changing environment. The successful candidate will be well-organized and highly attentive to detail, as well as conscientious and precise when performing quality control tasks. He/she will have daily contact with editorial, catalog and production teams and will manage manufacturing-related title metadata and quality assurance. This role will also work with external vendors such as design and printing companies to ensure our books are published on schedule and at the highest quality.

    This role is located at Brilliance Publishing, an Amazon Publishing subsidiary, in Grand Haven, Michigan.

    Core responsibilities include:
    • Overseeing and tracking day-to-day print production workflows
    • Handling inventory management processes for physical books
    • Quality assurance, i.e. checking digital final files and proofs for errors
    • Contribution to the documentation and efficiency optimization of operational processes
    • Assistance to making physical books available at our trade fair presences
    • Contribution to the compilation of our bi-annual program catalogs
    • Collaboration with external stakeholders such as design agencies, event managers and printing companies

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Experience in project/process management.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Fluent or native German language skills
    • Expertise in metadata management and quality control
    • Experience with publishing operations
    • Experience operating in a global environment
    • Demonstrated bias for action with strengths in problem solving and issue-resolution
    • Demonstrated ability and willingness to roll up sleeves and execute to get the job done
    • Ability to learn and adapt to new processes quickly
    • Able to demonstrate a proficiency in basic Microsoft Office applications, including Excel
    • Able to demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
    • A work record of high attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and prioritizing multiple tasks
