    AWS is seeking a Principal TPM to live, eat and breath AWS-cloud health. You will work with many engineering teams, in and outside of AWS, to create big data stores, real-time monitoring systems, mine data for hidden trends and build health AI systems to ensure that Amazon’s cloud infrastructure is delighting its customers. You will utilize machine learning to automate root-cause and remediation efforts. At the end of every day, you will know that your efforts helped create the world’s most reliable, most performant, cloud infrastructure. Our environment is fast-paced, ambiguous and requires someone who is self-driven, curious, and motivated to deliver high-impact programs/results.

    Basic Qualifications

    • BS or MS degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience in an IT-related field.Experience in project/program management with a proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels.
    • 4 + years of project/program management experience

    Preferred Qualifications

    • PhD in Industrial Engineering or related field
    • Deep, up-to-date, technical understanding of HDD, SSD, and memory technologies.
    • Experience working with development team(s) that have delivered hardware and software-based services
    • Experience communicating complex technical concepts to senior leadership via program review documents that highlight program progress, key decisions that need to be made (with recommendations) and items that need leadership feedback
    • Experience driving teams to identify root cause analysis, provide a solution for remediation and execute on resolving core operational issues
    • Demonstrated ability to managed project/task prioritization, procurement, project planning and schedule development.
    • Experience prioritizing competing demands, scoping large efforts and negotiating timelines
    • Proven track record of high-scale performance on teams of multiple disciplines
    • Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
    • Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
