Amazon Go is looking for a dynamic, organized, self-starting Food Quality Manager to join our Food Safety & Quality Department. The Seattle based role will focus specifically on driving food quality initiatives in the Amazon Go retail business. Successful candidates: · Work independently and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement components of the quality program with emphasis on food product quality and consistency while setting and ensuring conformance to quality and safety standards. · Maintain quality and safety standards for all food product components and finished products. · Ensure all food, packaging components and finished products meet specifications as designed by Product Development and Supply Chain departments. · Will design and implement the quality testing program plan to include product analysis. · Will put in place the necessary policies and procedures to address emerging issues. · Proactively create SOP’s focused on increasing product consistency and reducing product variation to ensure excellent customer experience. · Collaborate with supply chain teams to conduct validations for each distribution channel, based on established business requirements. · Create a system for product analysis, testing, reporting, and feedback to the business teams to inform future decisions. · Leverage technology to manage quality and compliance processes. · Are strong written and verbal communicators, are self-motivated and have critical attention to detail and reporting deadlines.
Basic Qualifications: · Bachelor degree or equivalent in Food Science or a related field. · Minimum of 6 years’ experience in the field or a in a closely related professional capacity. · At least 3 years’ experience developing and executing food shelf-life tests, food product/supply chain tests, food sensory panels and interpreting/reporting on results · At least 3 years in a manufacturing or foodservice facility, retail QA or R&D role
Preferred Qualifications: · Master's degree or equivalent in Food Science or a related field. · Minimum of 4 years’ experience in the field or a closely related professional occupation.
