    Amazon seeks a strong Senior Financial Analyst to be a key member of the Consumables Retail Finance team. This position will be a critical business partner and will have the opportunity to support several strategic programs within Consumables. This includes, among other things, responsibility for financial metrics, reporting, forecasting and analysis. This individual will be an active member of the Consumables Finance team. The successful candidate will be strategic, analytical, detail oriented, self motivated, have a bias for action and a history of delivering results.

    Primary Responsibilities
    ·Perform financial reporting and financial modeling
    ·Manage the long and short term financial planning and analysis effort, forecasting various metrics for financial risks and opportunities
    ·Develop ad hoc and new business development analysis and present recommendations to senior management on strategic decisions
    · Leading and/or participating as the key finance stakeholder in cross functional teams
    · Managing the reporting on weekly financial and operational performance metrics
    · Driving growth and profitability improvements through financial analysis to identify key opportunities and leverage points
    · Driving strategic projects for senior management with financial modeling, data mining and presentation support

    Basic Qualifications

    · Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business or related field.
    · 5+ years of experience in financial analysis or in a related analytical field

    Preferred Qualifications

    · Strong financial modeling & analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to build and manage financial models for business forecasting, variance analysis, and problem solving.
    · Highly analytical, detail oriented and strong business sense; proven ability to develop new ideas, creative solutions and demonstrated experience implementing such mechanisms to result.
    · Advanced knowledge of Excel and SQL.
    · Superior attention to detail.
    · Comfortable working with cross-functional teams and dealing with ambiguity.
    ·Ability to meet tight deadlines, prioritize workload and achieve effective results in a fast-paced, dynamic and often ambiguous environment; demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities is vital.
    · Comfortable with large volumes of complex data and presenting their findings to senior management.
    · Persuasive verbal & written communication skills
