We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Analyst who consistently exceeds expectations to join our Product Replenishment team. The role operates in a fast-paced, global, results-oriented environment, and should have the ability to influence the decisions of senior business leaders through effective verbal and written communication, logical reasoning, and the presentation of alternatives. The successful candidate must be able to think and act both strategically and tactically. This individual should possess solid business judgment, strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the strong desire to dive deep into data results and problem solving.

    The Product Replenishment team is a new group in our Retail organization making it easier than ever for customers to replenish the everyday goods that they, their family, or their business consume. We offer programs like Subscribe & Save, which offers customers the convenience of ‘zero-click’ auto-delivery of their favorite products and additional savings on top of Amazon’s everyday low prices. It is Amazon’s first and largest replenishment program. In 2017, we launched virtual Dash Buttons offering Prime members a fast, frictionless way to reorder all their familiar, everyday-essential products and Subscription and Discovery Boxes (SnDBox) a new marketplace for curated subscription boxes that makes discovering products simple and lots of fun. We’re hard at work building similar programs designed to take the worry and inconvenience out of shopping entirely.

    The successful candidate will work closely with leadership to provide strategic guidance and decision support in this rapidly evolving space. This individual must be able own the financial reporting for a business area, use solid financial knowledge and business acumen to build financial models and analyses with little guidance and draw conclusions and make recommendations that deliver results, drive improvements, and have global impact. They must be able to communicate data in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner both verbally and in writing.
    Responsibilities include:
    - Ownership of financial reporting for a business area to include publishing the Daily Flash and Weekly program metrics as Facilitate Weekly Business Reviews.
    - Publish P&L Slices and complete MoM, QoQ and YoY variance analysis
    - Build financial models for business forecasting, variance analysis, and problem solving
    - Deliver financial analysis that provide insights to the business
    - Be a thought leader to improve and simplify processes, analytics, and drive global standardization

    Basic Qualifications

    • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in finance
    • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business or related field

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with Essbase, Cognos, or BI tools preferred
    • MBA preferred
    • Strong analytic, financial modeling and reporting skills required
    • Experience and ability to use SQL required
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously, meet deadlines and drive projects to completion
    • Exceptional analytic skills and a demonstrated ability to build financial models for business forecasting, variance analysis, and problem solving
    • Ability to synthesize complex business and financials in simple drivers and connect financials to business story and translate to actionable items
    • Demonstrated ability to work with cross functional teams, dive deep into the details, and being able to communicate key metrics to management in a timely manner
    • Strong attention to details
    • Leadership skills to influence financial professionals in the team and operations finance team in multi-national locations without direct authority
