We are looking for an exceptionally bright and self-motivated Executive Assistant to directly support the AWS Public Relations and Analyst Relations team that is driving influencer communications globally. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to meet tight deadlines and multitask, efficient organizational skills, and the ability to switch gears at a moment's notice. A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information is required. Professionalism in dealing with senior leaders inside and outside the company is a must. The role may also include responsibility for occasional interaction with journalists and analysts. The successful candidate will possess the ability to complete complex tasks and projects quickly with little to no guidance, take initiative when they see a process is inefficient or broken, react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, and take effective action without having to know the total picture.
This position will work closely with other assistants throughout AWS as well as throughout Amazon. Responsibilities for this position include the ability to act as an extension of the head of AWS AR and PR, as well as the two directors that lead the US PR and Global AR functions. The right candidate will be able to think and plan-ahead, to manage time super-effectively, handle heavy calendar and schedule management, travel coordination and expense reports, team reporting and metrics measurement, assisting with meeting agendas and coordinating team events. The candidate needs to be able to coordinate well with our facilities team and help manage space and headcount for the respective teams. Candidate must possess superior judgment and problem solving skills, have an aptitude for prioritization and managing complicated calendaring tasks with diplomacy and discretion. Candidate must have the ability to quickly learn organizational structure, team objectives and adapt to Amazon values and vision along with a can-do attitude. Some flex hours and travel may be required.
