Basic Qualifications

· Strong visionary leadership, project planning, and execution skills
· Effective written and verbal communication with stakeholders at all levels
· Prior or current experience writing software in a modern programming language
· Experience owning the software development of a commercial software package or large scale internal service
· Applied knowledge of software engineering practices including coding standards, testing, security, and operations
· 10+ years software development experience
· 5+ years providing technical leadership of at least 5 engineers

Preferred Qualifications

· Prior experience as a software engineer on a distributed large-scale system
· Demonstrated leadership ability as a software development manager
· Strong understanding of end-to-end service lifecycle including software, infrastructure, operations, and configuration
· Experience in building tools used by software engineers
