QuickSight is a fast business analytics service to build visualizations, perform ad-hoc analysis, and quickly get business insights from data. The service was launched last year and picking up velocity. The service is geared to build disruptive technology in the big data analysis and visualization space.

Basic Qualifications

  • B.S. in Computer Science or a related fields
  • 8+ years of software development experience.
  • Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, or other high level programming languages.
  • 5+ years of experience in iOS frameworks and/or Android SDK.
  • Computer Science fundamentals in data structures, object-oriented design, algorithm design and problem solving.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated technical leadership.
  • Works well in a fast-moving team environment and is able to effectively drive cross-team solutions having complex dependencies and requirements.
  • Experience with mobile application development technologies like Swift, React Native.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s/PhD in Computer Science, Math or related field
  • Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and project planning/execution skills including estimating and scheduling.
  • Experience building large scale web applications
  • Familiarity with WebGL, SVG, Canvas API is a plus.
  • Experience building large scale data visualizations for mobile devices.
