Audible - an Amazon company and perpetual innovator – is looking to add a Sr. Manager, Performance Marketing, specifically focused on customer acquisition via performance marketing tactics like advertising, affiliate programs, email, display, etc. Using customer insights and data, you will implement strategies to shape innovative customer-focused programs at Amazon to drive strong customer acquisition at Audible. You will work cross-functionally across Audible and Amazon to support and accelerate the growth of Audible.

The ideal candidate is an early adopter of digital technology and will be metrics-driven with strong ownership and focus. You will need to be able to prioritize effectively in a fast-moving environment, and communicate clearly and persuasively. To be successful in this role you will need to be creative and dedicated to continually testing, measuring and evolving new marketing programs that drive acquisition.

  • Leverage Amazon eco-system tools and assets to provide Amazon customers with delightful, seamless, personalized experiences that drive acquisition and revenue generation activities for Audible on Amazon channels, including desktop, mobile web, and Amazon apps
  • Manage the development of multi-surface acquisition initiatives from idea through launch, while setting and continuously managing the right expectations with all relevant stakeholders, including senior leaders, and reporting on performance
  • Leverage data/analytics to continuously improve and make sound business decisions, but know how to make the call when all the data isn’t there
  • Work closely with business groups including: Product, Engineering, Finance, User Experience, Legal and Amazon partner teams to deliver programs
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impair the organization’s ability to meet its strategic, financial and technical goals
  • Share best practices across cross-functional teams within the US and globally
  • Partnering successfully with product and technical managers to identify and influence development of new acquisition and customer engagement initiatives
  • Managing multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
  • Tying details back to the big picture, thinking strategically, persuading stakeholders effectively, and executing methodically
  • Influencing product road maps, letting nothing stand in the way of clarity and prioritization
  • Superior verbal and written communications skills across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to proactively generate and quickly execute actionable recommendations based on the synthesis and data analysis
  • Working efficiently in a fast-paced environment where continuous and customer-focused innovation is desired

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Math or a related field of study required
  • 8+ years of experience in related positions Experience with analytics programs and marketing tools
  • Ability to synthesize conversion funnel analytics, testing (such as A/B and multivariate), and customer insights into successful online marketing strategies
  • Strong analytical and Excel skills
  • Experience with Amazon marketing and analytics tools a plus
  • Strong mentor with highly developed people leadership skills including 2 years of people management
