Cloud Directory is a fully managed, multi-tenant hierarchical data store that provides automatic scaling to hundreds of millions of objects while supporting single-digit millisecond latency at scale. We are doing ground breaking work in the distributed systems area related to latency, scalability, availability and durability. In this position, you will hire and lead a team of engineers responsible for solving some of the hardest problems in distributed storage like partitioning, scale-out, auto-scaling, graph queries at scale among other things. You will own the design, development, testing and deployment of these services. You will draw from a deep and broad technical expertise to mentor engineers and provide leadership on complex technical issues. You will manage and be responsible for delivering some of our most strategic technical projects, deliver large scale systems, design new software systems at the cutting edge of distributed database technology and have a significant bottom-line impact on our business and competitive position.

Basic Qualifications

  • Master's/Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
  • Proven skills designing and developing simple solutions to complex, customer challenges.
  • 7+ years experience developing software
  • 3+ years experience managing software development teams
  • Experience leading and developing highly-skilled software engineering teams
  • Experience forming teams and recruiting software engineers
  • Good understanding of various platforms and technologies (AWS, Java, Python, C#, Ruby)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AWS technologies
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies
  • Proven track record building high-performing software development teams
  • Passionate about delivering the right things for your customers at very high quality
  • Experience managing service-oriented software systems
