As the Store Performance Program Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating with multiple teams to deliver store performance tools and processes that help scale and facilitate operations for Amazon Books. You will apply your deep analytic and business intelligence skill to extract meaningful insight and learning from large, complicated and frequently messy data sets. You will simultaneously build scrappy BI, reporting, and audit tools while articulating and driving a vision for a best-in-class store performance managment toolset.

In this high profile role, you will collaborate with numerous operational and business teams to identify, define, and implement solutions to facilitate store management success. You will build harmonious relationships with corporate and field partners, working closely with them to invent and execute a robust store performance project roadmap. You will also prepare and present regular program updates to senior management. This opportunity requires excellent program management, creative problem-solving and effective communication skills. Basic Qualifications

  • BA or BS from an accredited university
  • 2+ years in product, program, or project management
  • 2+ years of experience with root cause analysis and process design
  • Data-driven decision making or quantitative analysis skills (including deep knowledge of Excel and SQL)
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to simplify complex topics for broad audiences
  • Experience working with cross functional teams
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or Master’s Degree in a related field
  • Experience with additional data analytics and/or data science tools such as Python, R, Stata, etc.
  • 3+ years of supply chain and/or retail industry experience
  • 3+ years of experience managing cross-functional programs, including external and internal stakeholders
  • Experience/certification in Lean/Six Sigma Mfg. methodologies
  • Experience developing and executing a change management program across cross functional teams
