Job Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for an experienced leader for our AWS Partner Systems team. This role is responsible for the overall product vision and leadership of the teams that build products used by our partners to conduct business with AWS: Partner Central (APN Portal), Partner Solution Finder, Quick Start, and several other internal systems.

The AWS Partner team is focused on enabling the partner ecosystem, working with partners to bring solutions to market that drive revenue and increase AWS customer adoption.

The AWS Partner Systems team has developed a number of products and solutions that serve the needs of our AWS partner ecosystem. We are looking for a talented and seasoned leader to bring these products to the next level, plus grow and refine the team so that we can scale for the future. You will own solution and product development roadmaps across a number of teams, and will be expected to introduce new ideas and innovations that positively impact the AWS partner ecosystem. This is a senior leadership role that will interact with all levels of the AWS business.

You must be highly passionate about the potential of cloud computing, building the world's best partner ecosystem, and delivering high quality products. Given the rapid growth and changing characteristics of the AWS partner ecosystem, you must have a proven track record of taking calculated risks and introducing forward-thinking initiatives.

Experience leading software development teams, in addition to product and program teams, is required. You must be able to effectively engage at the C-level with AWS partners, plus work at senior levels with AWS product, sales, marketing and training teams. Experience working in an alliances organization is preferred.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of relevant work experience in fields such as product management, software development, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 4+ years of senior management experience, leading cross-functional teams that include a mix of software development, program management, product development, and related roles.
  • Demonstrated analytic and quantitative analysis skills
  • Strong business and technical writing abilities
  • Track record of successfully working backwards from customer requirements to develop a compelling long-term strategy for innovative technology platforms that translates into an achievable roadmap that delivers results
  • Strong verbal, visual, and written communication skills; the candidate must be a strong leader who can drive consensus and articulate program recommendations and tradeoffs to senior executives while also being capable of interfacing with the technical community at varying levels
  • Have an entrepreneurial spirit and be able to work independently and effectively in a lean and results-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA and/or computer science, engineering, technology background
  • Understanding of the cloud computing space and AWS services
  • Previous experience leading Salesforce application development teams is desired
