We are a motley group of engineers and scientists within AWS and we are here to make history by taking Artificial Intelligence to the next level. We dream of a world where using customers can scale up their business by using Artificial Intelligence via simple button clicks and APIs, rather than spending months writing thousands of lines of code. We pride our startup culture and are looking for rockstar engineers to join as one and continue to break ground on a very tough set of problems.

You will be working shoulder-to-shoulder with some of the best scientists and engineers in the field. We don't expect (but would love) any previous experience with AI, and there is countless opportunity to get as deep as you'd like into AI.

A successful engineer on the team will have strong ownership, good communication, ability to dive deep into unseen codebases with ease, and ability make decisions with limited information.

Your responsibility will include:
  • Partnering with ML scientists to build and productionize ML solutions.
  • Break down complex design problems into simple independent pieces, and review your designs with principal engineers.
  • Be very hands-on; work with others on the engineering team to manage the day-to-day development activities, participate in designs, design review, code review, and implementation.
  • Delivery quality features on-time and on-budget and execution against project plans and delivery commitments.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • 2+ years of distributed systems experience
  • 1+ years of Machine Learning expereience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters in Computer Science
  • Experience with deep learning systems will be a big plus.
