ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a driven, strategic, customer-centric and visionary leader to lead cross-functional team efforts for Amazon Business. This person will direct the long-term vision, strategy and execution that enables our customers across industry verticals to utilize Amazon to optimize their total B2B spend through vast selection and competitive pricing.

More specifically, the Sr. Program Leader will be responsible for:

· Developing and executing processes and strategies that allow us to effectively handle project timelines, proposal responses and compliance requirements
· Efficiently running the input and coordination from partner organizations within Amazon
· Chairing large, complex vertical customer engagements that are considered business critical with significant impact
· Leading initiatives across Amazon Business verticals, including sales, marketing, product, tech, category management, 3P, operations, sustainability, finance and legal to deliver product category solutions for business customers
· Developing long-term strategies and influencing leadership decisions
· Applying specialized knowledge of core technology, functional areas and vertical industry domain knowledge to develop scalable mechanisms, processes and standards

Basic Qualifications

Education & Experience:

· Bachelor’s Degree
· 7 years’ experience in project/program management
· Experience with performance metrics, operations and/or process improvement experience
· Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments
· Experience working with Microsoft Excel, Access and/or SQL
· Demonstrated customer focus experience

· Demonstrated ability at analyzing quantitative and qualitative information, solving problems, developing processes and improving them
· Entrepreneurial self-starter who thrives in start-up environments
· Strong attention to detail
· Ability to present your ideas clearly to senior leaders and business partners and lead meetings with confidence
· Ability to indirectly influence others to deliver
· Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a dynamic, ambiguous, rapidly changing environment in which handling numerous priorities are the norm
· Someone with a strong bias for action, who can be tenacious and deliver desired results
· Someone willing to roll up their sleeves and do whatever is necessary to meet team goals
· Highly articulate, persuasive communicator and a good writer
· Demonstrated track record of extraordinary performance and with excellent judgment and high standards

Preferred Qualifications

· MBA
· 10+ years’ experience
· Previous B2B experience across multiple categories and verticals (healthcare, government, education)
· Strong data analysis and problem solving skills
· Able to work with a wide cross-section of people in various locations
· Attested history of building business requirements and requests for proposals
· Creative in finding new solutions and crafting inventive methods, systems and processes
· Experience using SQL to analyze data in a database or data warehouse
