We are looking for a proven UX/product designer to play a central role in the design and development of TenMarks applications and services. This is an opportunity to make a big impact and see your work used by millions of students. An ideal candidate will have an established background in developing customer-facing experiences, will be able to explore and translate complex interactions into simple and engaging user-centered solutions while being able to communicate those solutions verbally as well as through sketches, user flows, wireframes, hi-fi mocks and functional prototypes. You will use your UX design, and research skills to create elegant and intuitive user experiences that meet the evolving business needs for our different customer groups.

In this role you will have a significant impact on our business. You will work collaboratively with engineers, product managers, executives, and other design teams across Amazon—leading and championing design throughout the planning and development process.

Basic Qualifications

  • Have fluency in best practices for information architecture and interaction design, user-centered design processes, and a strong knowledge of UX principles and techniques.
  • Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, detailed UI and visual design specifications for web and mobile interfaces
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to help define best-in-class user experiences for different devices and user groups.
  • Understand target users deeply: develop or work from user profiles & conduct task analysis, create user scenarios or user stories, help to create and analyze user research.
  • Request and drive user research/usability tests as needed; actively participate in usability testing and interpret analytics data.
  • Identify key design issues and advocate for the best solutions for our users
  • Present design work to the product team, engineering team, business stakeholders and executives for review and feedback.
  • Contribute to user interface design and development best practices and standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in K-12 education
  • Demonstrated history of acquiring user data (e.g. conducting usability studies, performing user research) is a big plus
