Self Service Performance Advertising provides the platform for some of Amazon's fastest growing strategic businesses, such as Sponsored Products and Headline Search Advertising. Our global advertising platform provides self-service low-latency ad serving for multiple performance-based advertising programs with large ad inventories. It supports both automated and advertiser-specified targeting options and features particular optimizations for managing product data from across the entire Amazon product catalog as a source of ad content. This is a unique problem space within the global advertising ecosystem and we encounter continued unique and interesting challenges in terms of scalability, latency, flexibility and efficacy. We value the productivity we’re able to achieve by using existing Amazon technologies, but the varied nature of our advertisers' business relationships with Amazon and our scaling, latency and relevance considerations are unique. As such, we are not shy about deviating from standard stack components and approaches and engineering our own deeper, pragmatically differentiated solutions when necessary.
The Advertiser Experience group owns the experience of the advertiser from the moment they decide to engage with our platform right through the full lifecycle of self-service advertising management. This Technical Program Manager (TPM) role will be responsible for defining and guiding the evolution of the portal technologies that underpin the delivery of robust, scalable and highly usable advertiser-facing applications. They will have a direct impact on their customers (advertisers) by driving changes to a wide variety of services that make it easy and efficient for them to advertise their brands and products, increase sales and improve the Amazon shopper experience.
The ideal candidate has thrived and succeeded in delivering broadly adopted technology products/services in a very high growth environment where priorities shift quickly. He or she is a strong leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly and compellingly and who understands how to drive a high level of focus and excellence.
Qualified candidates have experience defining projects and features, collecting requirements, writing detailed functional and test specifications, coordinating large cross functional projects and schedules, and delivering complex projects with accurate results at high scale.
