Amazon Video (AV) seeks a Technical Program Manager to lead Personalization for Amazon Video. This is a strategic role to shape and deliver our technical strategy in developing and deploying Machine Learning solutions to our hardest customer facing problems. Our goal is to delight customers by consistently presenting the most relevant movies and TV shows from our vast catalog of titles. We’re investing heavily in building the #1 TV and movie recommendation engine in the entertainment industry, attacking the ‘whole page optimization’ problem which is an area of emerging research in the industry and developing insightful customer intelligence that brings astounding precision to marketing communication. This role requires working closely with business, engineering and Machine Learning Science leaders within Amazon Video and across Amazon to leverage and share datasets, algorithms and features. You will lead high visibility and high impact programs collaborating with various teams across Amazon. You will own regular communication with senior leadership on technology, dependency management, risk mitigation and program health.
The ideal candidate should have thrived and succeeded in delivering broadly adopted technology products or services in a very high growth environment. You should be a strong leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly and compellingly, and understand how to drive a high level of focus and excellence. You should have keen business sense and also have developed a deep understanding of technology. Qualified candidates have experience defining programs, mapping product requirements to engineering functional specifications, leading large cross functional and cross organizational programs, and successfully delivering complex programs at high scale.
