Job Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced, self-starting, intelligent, personable, and detail-oriented program manager to join our analyst relations (AR) team. The AWS cloud computing platform is used today by over one million businesses and developers around the world, ranging from start-ups to Fortune 50 enterprises. These companies are consuming compute capacity, storage, database services and more in the cloud, rather than undertaking the heavy lifting of maintaining their own data centers. Cloud computing is arguably one of the most impactful developments in technology within the last 20 years, and AWS is a pioneer and leader in this fast growing space. Because of this, there are thousands of analysts worldwide who are trying to understand AWS to then help their clients realize the transformation potential of cloud computing for their business.

The Global AR Program Specialist has the unique opportunity to build programs, processes and tools to rapidly onboard analysts and scale AR education efforts that inform analysts regarding trending topics for AWS Products and Services, customer enablement solutions, customer case studies, and support breadth education for the broader global AR team. The ideal candidate is motivated by learning in a highly creative and dynamic culture where they will participate in the challenge of breaking new ground and redefining best practices and discipline excellence. The right candidate possesses a track record of demonstrating successful communications or marketing program management – this includes the ability to quickly understand technical topics, business value, and then able to successfully deliver on numerous collaborative projects and manage day-to-day operations related to program activities in a global organization. In this role, the candidate will have a direct opportunity to innovate AWS AR programs and measurement of results via new approaches. The role is based in Seattle, WA, and requires periodic travel.

The AWS AR Program Specialist will be responsible to:
 Manage existing programs that scale reach and increase analyst awareness for AWS service offerings and significantly expand analyst understanding of the AWS approach to cloud computing;
 Expand communications operations/execution, non-traditional influencer outreach programs, driving AWS customers participation in cloud vendor ratings sites, monitoring and engaging in social media across all analysts and channels, and the AR metrics reporting;
 Act as the front line to prioritize, manage and build processes to expedite responses to incoming requests for information, research review, customer references, event speakers, and research interviews;
 Own and manage ongoing AR program operations, including measurement reporting, budgets, and contracts;
 Drive constant improvements, best practices, and increased efficiencies including efforts to standardize and/or document ad-hoc processes;
 Embrace a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, solve problems creatively, and manage business risk as you achieve established goals.
