The Payments Platform team located in Seattle is looking for a Senior Manager to manage a team of technical program managers.

This role requires working closely with your team of technical program managers, engineering teams, product management teams, and business teams in Seattle, Vancouver, and international countries to lead them towards a launch. This position involves regular communication with our leadership on status, risks, plans, and changes in launch strategy. Excellent communication – both verbal and writing skills and strong technical competency is a must.

You will be a driving force within and outside of Payments Platform team. You will lead your team and your key stakeholder teams to identify and implement technical initiatives. As leader of leaders, you will be develop career plans and identify growth opportunities for your team members.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on technical project and program management skills, leading large cross-functional programs & projects from definition to launch. The person should also have excellent people management skills with proven track record of building high performing teams. A qualified candidate is a creative leader with superior analytical abilities across business and technology. This opportunity requires excellent technical program and product management, problem-solving, and communication skills. Excellence in technology, business, and execution are core skills for this position.

Basic Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical education and work experience.
· 10+ years of software industry experience
· 5+ years Technical Program Management experience running large worldwide complex programs in a fast paced environment using Agile methodologies and delivering highly scalable and robust systems.
· Experience managing technical teams, who can prioritize well, communicate clearly, and influence partner teams and cross functional teams, such as product management, technical program management, development teams and senior business leaders.
· Demonstrated experience hiring and developing high-performing teams
· Demonstrated ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and evaluate outcomes.
· Ability to roll up sleeves and operate as an individual contributor to get the job done; at the same time be able to guide a team toward an objective.
· Able to provide architectural guidance and direction throughout the project lifecycle.
· Excellent communication skills – both oral and written
· Experience in Payments industry and e-commerce platforms are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

· Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
· Deep hands-on technical expertise, prior experience as a software developer
· Experience in Agile development methodologies, deep understanding of software development in large teams, and a track record of shipping software on time
· Experience managing teams of 10+ people
· Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
